Both the north and south islands are unpopulated, but the souh island gets more boaters because of the large wharf and historic attractions. This islaand is twelve miles from the Rhode Island mainland and tweelve milers from the tip of Long Island. It is a trendy corner with Long Island boaters and those who want to discharge to the isalnds for a weekend. There are eight hunddred that live year curved on this island, but in the summer the population can simoply grow to over twelve thousand.
