The American Flag is the ultimate symbol of sovereignty

The flag of the United States of America has come to signify many things and is emblazoned on everything from keychains to American flag Harleys. Despite the merchandising and advertising, the flag has a deep emotional and historical which means around the world. Perhaps we now have too much freedom on this country, maybe not. Both way, the American flag has a simple, however intensely deep meaning.
That declare was made by her grandson when he was an outdated man. He said Betsy, a widow seamstress, told him the story when he was an eleven-yr-old boy.
He acknowledged a delegation consisting of Gen. Washington; Robert Morris, a member of the Continental Congress; and George Ross, the uncle of Betsy's late husband, came to her Philadelphia residence in Could 1776. They requested her to make the first American flag of thirteen stripes and thirteen six-pointed stars.
