Is your orchestra low on the list for a budget increase this year? Chances are good that just because your funds went down, your needs did not. You still need new bows and strings, and other various instrumental pieces. Sheet music doesn't come cheap, and neither do music stands, or concert uniforms. Raising the out-of-pocket expense will almost guarantee that you'll lose members?so what do you do? Don't lose sleep over this - try some coffee! As a fundraiser! Gourmet coffee and tea fundraisers are a great way for your orchestra to raise money. Because it is a brochure fundraiser there is no start-up fee. All you have to do to begin is call a fundraising consultant, give them shipping information, and they will send you a brochure for each member of your orchestra. Your customers will pay $10 for either a 12 oz. bag of gourmet coffee, or 25 tea bags of their favorite flavor of tea. All items are pre-ground and freshly roasted. Your group makes 40% of the overall profit. You pre-sell the items and collect money as you go. Once the coffee fundraiser is over you turn in a portion of the money with your total order, and keep the profits. While you are waiting for the items to come in you can go ahead and start using your collected money to purchase the items that you and your orchestra need for a wonderful concert season.
