I also seen that a professional poker league was based in vegas.

The "Professional Poker League" is here. A new idea was born, funded, and delivered to fruition by some very talented (and financed) businessmen, the PPL assembled 64 of the perfect gamers on the planet for the inaugural draft. The 8 groups, led by captains and co-captains selected by the PPL participant choice committee, had a tough job in front of them: Rank and pick a crew that can, over the course of a 12 months, dominate the tournaments and games. And, do it publicly.
As we assembled for the draft on the Venetian, the tension was palpable. The captains weren't giving a lot away in terms of technique, but it was clear that they'd accomplished their homework. Daniel Negreanu stated, "I've spent greater than one hundred hours on this factor in the last week. I used to be born for this. I've been taking part in fantasy leagues all my life." Chris Ferguson stated, "we're on the lookout for players that can fit together on a real team. We're in search of guys that are keen to learn, and guys that won't maintain again once we share info with each other. We want staff players."
