Five Step System to Six Figure Cruise Ship Speaking

The 5 steps I've described below can't be taken all at once.

One necessarily needs to go after the other. But once you've carried out all of them you'll have established a six figure speaking business that can present you with security and prosperity for the rest of your existence.

1. Search out Your First Cruise Ship Speaking Event

It all starts here. Once you're all set, you'll need to make contact; either through an agency or with the cruise line directly. Craft a gripping talk and they'll offer you a spot on a future expedition. Don't expect this to materialize quickly though.

Occasionally the timing will be perfectly right and they'll be seeking to substitute someone who retracted at the last minute. More typically however it can take many months for the whole lot to come together.

When it does, you should to have the apt thinking in order to turn this one time speaking gig into a business creating opportunity.

2. Present In Front Of Hundreds Of Prospects

You'll in general present a one hour long lecture on each sea day of the tour. The daily onboard newsletter (called a "patter") will record a blurb on your speech and give the time and place.

Some speakers get hundreds of people to turn out for their lectures while others only get a handful. {

Occasionally|Sometimes} this can be because of the scheduling but more often than not it's an end result of how you write your blurb and promote your speech.

3. Offer BOR Products After Your Lecture

BOR or "Back Of the Room" product sales can result in hundreds or even thousands of dollars in proceeds after each lecture.

Examples of kinds of products you can sell are CDs, DVDs, and Books. They have to link to your subject matter of course and they ought to appear professional in order to be approved by the cruise line. When they are accepted though they are accepted forever (just like you) and you can deliver them on all your additional cruise ship speaking events.

4. Form Your List For Spin-off Events

Each time you give a presentation of any kind to any sized audience anywhere you should be using that opportunity to create your list. You never know who's in your audience, what they do, who they know, where they work, or how they could help you.

After every talk you must have a method to pull together contact information from your audience members. A first name and email is all you need to develop a substantial list of prospects in no time.

5. Put On Your Own Seminars At Sea

The real money comes when you begin putting on your own events.

Let's name this six figure speaking and beyond!

Think about this: you can get that list you've created and offer them an expanded program relating to your subject of expertise. Do this over several days and it's called a seminar. Do it on a cruise ship and it's called a seminar at sea.
