Download the Right Add-Ons You will never succeed in reaching the WoW gold cap without the right set of add-ons. To start, you have to find add-ons that will help you with your gold production. The first thing I'd suggest is an add-on that will collect information from the auctions at the auction house. Until recently, Auctioneer has always been the main source of information on the auction house. You can also look at another add-on called Auctionator which does a similar function. Once you start getting into the auction house quite a bit, you'll also want Market Watcher and Postal. Information equals power in the game of auction house mastery. 2. Farming and Questing? Yeah right! Many people trying to reach the WoW gold cap eventually turn to farming and questing. If you enjoy farming and questing, you can absolutely make money that way, but it takes a long time. Here's the real information. Doing daily quests will make you anywhere from 250 to 300 gold a day and farming will max out at around 750 gold per hour. This means you will need to spend around 300 hours doing nothing but farming or a whole lot more than that doing daily quests if you want to get to the WoW gold cap. If you enjoy this type of activity, go for it If, however, you want maximum gold, you need to look at other activities. 3. Auction House Creativity Everyone and their cousin is using the Auction House to make money. Come up with some out of the box thinking so that you can find ways to make money other than looking for things to buy low and sell high. Try learning to transfer items between servers and between factions. Find out how to make an item increase in value by manipulating the price or find a way to move things around carefully to control how people think about your items. There's nothing illegal about any of these strategies and once you master them, you will be well on your way towards hitting the WoW gold cap.
